How is Your Meditation? An Invitation and a Communication

To my readers,

How is your meditation? How is your life?

I hope you are well, I feel that I would like to communicate a little more directly with you. I feel perhaps I have been writing too much about my own experience, and perhaps letting you down if you are learning. The raft I have constructed to get me to the further shore may not be right for you, since we all start from where we are, with our own unique conditioning, issues, views and tendencies.

Perhaps we all must build our own, but just as one must choose the right materials from which to build a raft, we are likely to want to use similar  materials, similar meditation practices and teachings, in other words, the ones taught by those who have successfully made this journey themselves.

I want to make this blog as useful to you as I can, so I want to ask you how your meditation is, how your life is, how your spiritual life is going?

The Buddha’s Activity is as Sunlight Dancing on the Waters of Time

If you had been out walking one night, two and a half millennia across time, you might have seen, framed against the moonlight shining on the river, a meditating figure. There would have been something deeply compelling about this sight, about the enigmatic smile and peaceful countenance.

Had you been out again the next morning, the same sight would have greeted you, except this time he would be framed by golden light of the sparkling sunshine, dancing on the surface of the gently flowing stream.

What you would not know, what you could not know, is that in the sparkling stream of consciousness connecting the two sights, the most profound event for life in this aeon had arisen. A Buddha had come to be.
